About the team
The Vale of Lune RUFC Micro’s team is for boys & girls of all abilities from Reception & Year 1 in September 2024
Micro’s play TAG Rugby which is NON CONTACT, the emphasis being on running, passing and evasion skills. At this age, the Micros are not permitted to play matches, so learning skills are base on fun games. They are taught basic rugby skills through participation, socialising and learning the basics in a relaxed rugby environment.
Training is on Sundays at Vale of Lune, usually at 11am but training fixture will be available on the Pitchero App and on our website. All staff are DBS cleared and RFU trained. As Coaches we work to develop the core principles of rugby in children, Teamwork, Respect, Discipline, Sportsmanship and most of all ENJOYMENT.
All new players are welcome to come and give rugby a TRY and make new friends. Everybody Plays!
Coaches are yet to be confirmed for the new season, but if you would like more information or your child would like to join the team please contact the Mini & Junior Chairman, Paul Coleman on 07739 764469.
