Vale of Lune RUFC

Welcome to the Vale Of Lune RUFC Mini and Junior Section

The Vale of Lune RUFC are a fun loving rugby family and we coach children from the age of 5 to 17 following the England RFU Age Grade Rugby Scheme.

We want to encourage kids & teens of all ages and abilities to come and see what we’re about. Our Mini Section is from school year 1 to 6 and our Junior Section is from years 7 to 11. Girls can play in mixed teams in the Mini’s and then can join our Vale Valkyries girls teams.

Tackling starts at U9’s but each development stage is introduced slowly following strict RFU guidance for the well-being and safety of your children. We aim to develop personal and social self-esteem, individual skill development, reward beyond competition, fun, friendship and inclusion - every child plays!

Our Junior Section learn to play for competition and the whole club enjoy’s the extra benefits of a fabulous ground, superb clubhouse with excellent facilities, events and the pleasure of trips and team tours!

Our season starts on September 3 with training from 10:30am. Don't worry if you’ve missed registration, children can join the club at any point during the year. If they would like a taster session first, please feel free to join us at one of our training sessions.
