The funeral for our lifetime member George Dickson is scheduled for Friday the 9th July 11.30a.m. at the Lancaster Crematorium. Of course George was a popular member of the Club and indeed apart from other roles in the Club, both playing and administering, he was a dedicated Chairman of the Club for some 5 years.
In line with recent other arrangements, the funeral cortege will arrive at the Vale at 11.15a.m. to allow a final visit for George, and for members to show their appreciation for the work he has carried out over many many years with the Club.

As the present situation is concerned only 45 people will be able to be present at the Crematorium, but the service as conducted, will be streamed live to the Club at the 11.30a.m. commencement. We would hope all would enter the Clubhouse to observe the service.. Again covid restrictions will be in place.

For those attending the ceremony and in fact those attending the Vale to offer their sympathies, George has insisted “wear your brightest clothes on the day" so please uphold his request !!
